The Library welcomes Peter Counihan, MD of the UPMC Cardiovascular Institute for a discussion of the prevalence, risk factors, diagnosis, and treatments of heart disease. Dr. Counihan will consider the importance of diagnostic and therapeutic alternatives to cholesterol management, and will also discuss new diagnostic techniques and therapeutic controversies currently circulating in the non-medical press.
