A volunteer firefighter from Pitcairn was arrested Tuesday and charged with starting two trash fires in garbage cans outside his apartment building. James Cole, 18, was awaiting arraignment in Night Court on charges of arson, causing or risking a catastrophe, reckless endangerment and related charges for the fires outside the building in the 300 block of Broadway Street.
