Secret meeting suddenly not secret any more!

It was soooo STRANGE that on Friday people recieved notice of a secret school board meeting in their email inboxes. I did. Then really, really funny that some who get emergency email alerts from the district, got much LATER notice from the district of a sudden "special meeting" on Monday night just before the budget meeting.
I read this announcement. It is such a SPECIAL meeting that it is like a surprise party...there is NO TOPIC! Surprise! Bring your party hats. Stock up on confetti. Who's bringing the keg? We're all gonna need a drink.
Somebody better let all the latest homebuyers in Monroeville know that they are the SPECIAL GUESTS! Somebody better get the word out in Haymaker Point. Glen Oaks. Any new commercial property owners (office party anyone?) Mr. Dice knows. Any big properties recently purchased, (well, except for his family...they must have a doctor's note,) assessed for taxes at a level below the purchase price are getting a special present this year. Something in the mail just for them!
Surprise! The taxes you budgeted for are going to get jacked up.
Why should we, the lower income people, care? We should care because this is an illegal sham. Dice makes a new law and once again, strong arms his friends into passing it. Wink wink, nudge nudge, trust me on this one, same old routine.
This law looks like it will help the school kids. But this law will be challenged by Allegheny County. Hello, Mr. Onorato, know you're awfully busy, but here you go again, and the precedent you set defeating this law in other places will have to be repeated.
What does this mean to us? It means we pay bigtime hourly rates to Mr. Dice to FIGHT AGAINST THE COUNTY, (how is this educational?) and win or LOSE, he gets the cash. With legal precedent already set, chances of his winning are slim to none. HE DOES NOT CARE. HE DOES NOT HAVE TO CARE. WIN OR LOSE, HE GETS MONEY. OUR MONEY.
So any school board member voting for this new surprise ordinance is clearly, clearly voting to take money out of the school budget (goodbye new books, goodbye teachers aides, goodbye copy paper,) to give to their friend.
WHY? Where is the other big surprise party he's throwing for them being held? What's in it for them? Must be something. Can I have some of THAT CAKE? Is the pinata in the shape of a teacher or a student?
This is not going to be televised. No surprise there. It's a shameful thing, that's why it was secret. If it were anything to be proud of, it would be broadcast, right?

I too received the strange update from the District. Hmmmm. I am also certain with so much public scrutiny that the agenda can be easily changed; after all there is no real public notice here. From a news report I read, Attorney Dice is working for at least eleven (11) municipalities and other public agencies, which includes Monroeville, Pitcairn, the Gateway School District, and the Monroeville Municipal Authority (water and sewer), who's interest is he looking out for? With two major law schools in the immediate area surely there is someone else who would be willing to represent Monroeville (Water and Sewer, School Board and the Municipality) for nearly 1 million dollars.
I can't believe I am asking this : Where are the lawyers when you need them? Good money to be had in Monroeville folks, after all we pay Mr. Bruce Dice nearly $30,000 for evey man, woman and child in the municipality. Whoever is responsible for continuing to put Mr. Dice's name forward and voting for his appointment needs to be held responsible for his/her actions also!
To Jane Citizen: If you want to know who to thanh for Mr. Dice's increasing success you need not look any further than your own Democratic Committee and their group of liars, cheats and good ol' boy tactics. Look at your Council. Clarence Ramsey, if not a committee member, has prepared many a meal for the committee functions. Jim Brown, though a Republican, has been a friend of the committee and has done some work for them for elections. He beat out Janice for the Council seat because the Democratic Committee was secretly working for him at the poles. Just ask former Councilman John Danzilli. Carol McDevitt is Speelman's project. There isn't a Committee function that you don't see him at.
Take a good look at your School Board. Magill, Rawson and Rospal are on the Democratic Committee with Rawson being the Chairwoman.
But the secret ingredient here is the biggest scoudrel of the whole political process, Greg Erosenko. He's on Committee as well. he's the one with the big mouth that somehow is able to bamboozle the honest ones on committee.
To remove the corruption we must remove the committee and remove our current elected officials that are part of the scheme.
Think he was great on the school board? Just wait ...guess who is going to be our next mayor! None other than Mr Greg Erosenko! Last one out please turn off the lights.
