If council seats Mr. Erosenko as Mayor(as has been postulated on this board), we (the good people of Monroeville) need to rise up and sweep the entire council out of office. The backroom deals and inbred attitude shows a lack of leadership and common sense. The council refuses to listen to the people of Monroeville by making their little backroom deals and refusing to consider the will of the people. This one party system is failing Monroeville and it seems like it is time for the good people of Monroeville to rise up. This lack of common sense has helped caused a brain drain in both Council and the School Board. Watching council meetings is like watching an episode of Survivor. Pitiful. Come on and recruit a real Mayor or hold an election. Stop the Brain Drain or the voters will respond in '09 by sweeping council (and their hired guns and cronies)out of office.

WOW! I did not hear that Mr. Erosenko wants to Mayor! What a TERRIBLE thing this would be for the Municipality. What does the public think of Mr. Erosenko? Not much - as he was not re-elected to the school board where he served as President... And if council appoints him - then the public will think the same thing about the council members and vote them off. It is time the people of Monroeville take notice of what is happening politically. We have lost some very good members of the school board and council/mayor because they do not want to put up with the "politcs as usual" in Monroeville...

I am Thankful that we had Mayor Lomeo as long as we did - we need another Lomeo to fill his shoes - Erosenko is not even close!

Well, Step up and run. We are looking for change.

Lois Drumheller did step up and run. She knocked on every door in Ward 3 and the people have spoken. They are ready for change, fresh thinking and a fresh start. She set the pace and example for those who would clean the slate in Council Chambers. Inspired residents of Wards 5 and 7 will have a chance to follow suit next year. Let's all keep our eyes open and encourage those brave souls to come forth.

If someone posts on here a meeting time and location, I volunteer to help with either or both campaigns. I don't know exactly how to do that, but just point me in a direction and I will do whatever is needed.

Answer: Business - not the tax paying citizens. New and expanding businesses are reaking havoc over what use to be quiet residential areas. Yes, business is crucial to the economy, but what about using existing buildings no longer in use, i.e. Westinghouse behind the Post Office away from Rt. 22 & 48?? Driving Rt. 48 and Rt 22 is like driving the beltway in D.C. at rush hour. YES - let's Sweep Council and the Mayor Out of Office in '09. Mayor, the honeymoon is over.
