An Allegheny County jury today convicted a Monroeville man of first-degree murder for the fatal stabbing of his girlfriend.

John Mullarkey's lawyer blamed the killing of Demi Cuccia on his client's use of the acne drug Accutane. Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey A. Manning this morning denied a request for a mistrial because Roche Pharmaceuticals pulled the drug from shelves Friday. The Pittsburgh Trib has more details.
