Vincent LeDonne
World War II Army veteran

Vincent R. LeDonne, 87, of Monroeville, died May 23, 2008.

Mr. LeDonne worked for 40 years as a union carpet and tile installer.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Thorton.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peg" LeDonne; daughter, Karen Griffith of Monroeville; sons, James LeDonne of Allison Park, Michael LeDonne of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Robert LeDonne of Swissvale and Vincent LeDonne of Cranberry, N.J.; sister, Anna Margaret Valentine; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends were received at Jobe Funeral Home and Cremation Serivce Inc., Monroeville/Plum Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Januarius Parish in Plum. Entombment with military honors was at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to The Cedars of Monroeville or Parkinson's Disease Foundation.

Dora Matarazzo
St. Regis member

Dora E. Yocca Matarazzo, 90, of Trafford, died May 21, 2008.

Mrs. Matarazzo was a member of St. Regis Church and its Altar Rosary Society for more than 50 years.

She served two terms as president of Trafford Mothers Football Club and was a member of Trafford Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pasquale and Marie Ciotti Yocca; husband, Anthony Matarazzo; sisters, Beatrice Frasca and Ida Gorgone; and brothers, John Yocca, Bill Yocca and Emil Yocca.

Surviving are her sons, Jim Matarazzo and his wife, Claudia, and Ralph Matarazzo and his wife, Maureen; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends were received at Alfieri Funeral Home Inc., Wilmerding. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Regis Church, Trafford. Entombment was in New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles.

Mildred Levitsky
West Virginia native

Mildred (Howvalt) Levitsky, 89, of Monroeville, formerly of the Holiday Park section of Plum, died May 25, 2008.

Mrs. Levitsky was born Dec. 1, 1918, in the Montana Mines community in West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Levitsky; sisters, Dorothy and Lucille Howvalt; and brothers, Howard "Butch" and Elmer "Buddy" Howvalt.

Surviving are her daughter, Sharon Ann Shimp and her husband, David; sister, Mary Lou Jenkins and her husband, Clyde; sister-in-law, Mary Howvalt, of West Virginia; and several nieces, nephews and their families.

Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. this Friday at Gene H. Corl Inc. Funeral Chapel and Cremation Center, 4335 Northern Pike, Monroeville, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. this Saturday.

Ruth Brown
Grandmother of two

Ruth Jane Cain Brown, 88, of Pitcairn, died May 20, 2008.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James "Bus" Brown; sisters, Fay Lang, Martha Marcin, Georgette Papsun and Nellie Custer; and brothers, Robert Cain, Issac Cain and Thomas Cain.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet Shannon; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by William O. Pearce Funeral Home Inc., Pitcairn. A service was held in Center Avenue United Methodist Church, Pitcairn. Interment was at Penn Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, North Huntington.
