Sports News: Boxing event set for Alcoma
The Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League is hosting an evening of Black & Gold Boxing tomorrow, Friday, at the Alcoma Country Club on Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the bell time is 7:30.
There are 14 bouts on the card, featuring local boxing champions from the Golden Gloves and the Western Police Athletic League.

Football camp
The Tom Alper Elite Football Camp for quarterbacks, receivers, kickers, punters and long snappers will be Feb. 6 and 20 and March 6 at the Robert Morris University bubble.
The camp time for each session is 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

Basketball camps
Basketball Stars of America, the official Elite AAU basketball program of Western Pennsylvania, is hosting a number of basketball mini camps for players of all abilities at Monroeville Sports Center, 855 Macbeth Drive in Monroeville.
Camps will be Dec. 28 to 30 and Jan. 18, Martin Luther King Day.
They will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily and are for boys and girls in grades one through nine. Players will be separated by age and ability.
The three-day camp is $150, while the single-day camp is $60.
All campers receive a camp T-shirt and may either bring their own lunch or purchase one.
